i am thankful for:
the lightning cracks, the roar of thunder, the sound of puddles forming
a steady breeze in eighty degree sunshine;
the quiet swish of the fans during naptime;
homemade smoothies. made just perfectly;
sleeping in next to my fella. all the dogs sleeping in too;
days off, living in our own, happy little home all day long;
rosy cheeks and tan skin;

the smell of moisture in the airthe smell of puppy breath in my face. followed by quick little kisses;
bare feet;
early bedtimes after long days;
finding shapes in the clouds;
sun tea;
county fairs and festivals, and flea markets, too;
day trips;
crickets chirping;
homemade ice cream;
there's a reason it's called sweet summertime.
