Our Thanksgiving

Today was Thanksgiving.  A day filled with family, turkey, and lots of love!  We started out our morning with a 5k Turkey Trot with the boys (and our dogs)  Vinny wanted to run the entire thing with Travis.  Troopers!

After we all showered and cleaned up everyone came over and the party began!

Much like many families in America the tables were set and decorated with fine plates and silver, everyone gathers around the table catching up on lost time.  The aroma of Thanksgiving fills the house.

Sometimes family can't always be together.  Thankfully in this day and age we have Skype. So with part of the family away we all hovered around the laptop.

And while some of us napped for the 3rd time today.  Others found themselves glued to the football game for yet another let down.

Thanksgiving was a complete success.  But its not over yet!  As I type we are plotting our Black Friday attack plan.

Enjoy your food coma and undo that top button (it helps),

Jenna

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving.  May your day be blessed and filled with love and loved ones!  May you be reminded of the ways God has blessed your life.

Love and all the fixin's,

Jenna

Sneak Peek: Kelsi + Jonathan | Hitched

In Lubbock, you have to learn to deal with the unexpected and frequent occurrences of random weather.  They can really make you a mess... especially the wind.  For those of you who live in this area this is quite normal.  While not always the most ideal thing, you learn to make the best of it. After all, in this part of the country only the tough survive (according to my sister).

This year just about every single day in November has been awesome.  Cool crisp mornings with kisses of dew on the newly planted fall and winter flowers.  Days the warm up to about 73 degrees with a puff of clouds here and there to break up the monotony of the bright blue sky.  Geese are flying in from the distance bringing a new noise that we will all become familiar with by January or so.

However on their wedding day, this was hardly the case. Thankfully we were shielded by a majority of the wind and sand blasting by the lovely Betenbough park.  It had rained a little the night before, which was very welcomed by everyone I'm sure, but the next day it made the ground squishy and muddy.  The pond was also a little higher than normal so one of the rocks that everyone had to walk across was no longer above water.  But everyone made the best of it, after all there was a very important wedding that was going to take place no matter what!!!

Aside from the "uncontrollable"everything went perfectly!  Not only that but you could really feel the depth of what this moment meant to this couple and their families. It was so special to capture this day for them! I'm not going to lie, I had to give myself a pep talk under my breath during the ceremony cause I nearly lost it too!

These two really did a fabulous job planning all the details to their wedding.  Here is a sneak peek!!

Congratulations Jonathan and Kelsi, you deserve it.
May God continue to guide you through your journey together as a family.

Kisses, hugs, and all of the above,

Jenna
